		<description>ya I got your point over there. Perhaps my earlier suggestion is good for busy people - who finds regular water change a chore to them, and probably they hate the algae in their tank.

		<description>what i do to reduce algae is frequent water changes of about 20%.  if you can do so daily, then even 10% water changes are even better.  the problem is nitrate buildup which is a fertilizer for plants and bad for fish.  when you do lots of water changes, it dilutes the nitrate buildup.  this makes the water from the aquarium great for house or garden plants.  i wouldn't use chemicals to kill algae.  jmho.</description>
